My Beautiful Mother
October 9th, 2023
We had a scare last week that involved my mother, who was taken by ambulance to the hospital in Las Vegas, and where she remained until Saturday afternoon.
For more, here’s a link to a personal essay I wrote, in part to process all of the emotions I’ve been experiencing, but also as a tribute to my beautiful mother, and to provide an update for all who have been concerned.

God has blessed you and your family with a wonderful mother. Praise the Lord that she is doing good and back to enjoying your dad and the wonderful sunshine. God is good!
Beautifully written Shelli ❤️
I have learned over the past few years how important it is to spend the time, share the feelings, laugh a lot, cry a little, reminisce and always say what you want to say…with no hesitation, before it’s too late. Time can extinguish with no warning and regret will last forever.
I am so glad your mother is okay and recovering from that horribly scary event. I’m also very glad that if it had to happen, that it occurred in Las Vegas where she was close to good specialized medical care and did not have to be life flighted out of Lander causing needed procedures to be delayed, even though it took you and Alicia longer to get to her.
I am in Pennsylvania visiting my mother right now. Your essay brought lots of tears to my eyes as I presently live so much of it firsthand…
Love and hugs to you, your mom and all your family 🥰💕
Oh dear Nancy, you have been in our prayers, as well as your family. You have all endured so much in your life and God had brought you out with a shining radiance. How fitting Nancy, you are a shining light to all who know you. May our loving Father continue to lead you down the path to a full recovery.
Nancy Sniffin has always been one of my favorite people. As a child, I wanted to grow up to be just like her. I love her so much! she’s one of the most beautiful women I know.
